Trusting God’s Plan for Your Next Step

Scripture:
"Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans." ~ Proverbs 16:3

Devotional:
Have you ever felt a recurring nudge in your spirit, an idea or calling that just won’t go away? Perhaps it’s a whisper from God, a dream planted deep in your heart that feels bigger than you. Yet, for some reason—fear, doubt, or busyness—you keep suppressing it. I’ve been there too. Each time I try to push that calling aside, God reminds me of its importance by placing someone in my path who says, “I need what you have to offer.”

That’s why, starting in 2025, I will launch Rita’s Retreat—a sacred space for aspiring and high-achieving women who are ready to take that next step in their personal and professional lives. This retreat is for women who are serious about letting go of what holds them back, living fully in their purpose, and leaning forward into the life God has for them. It’s a place to pause, reflect, and be empowered to step boldly into God’s calling.

At the beginning of this year, some of us wrote our vision letters for 2024, seeking to align our hearts with God’s plan. Now, as the year comes to a close, it’s a beautiful time to reflect. Where are you on that journey? What prayers have been answered? What dreams are still unfolding?

One thing I’ve learned is that every single day is “Day One” in God’s heart for us. He doesn’t work on our timeline; He works on His. He can take an ordinary day and transform it into a magnificent miracle—a day that shifts everything. As you prepare for your next step, trust in His timing. Whether you’re beginning a new chapter or stepping into a greater calling, remember that obedience is the gateway to the extraordinary.

• What gifts has God given you to fulfill His purpose?
• How has God’s faithfulness shaped your journey?
• How is God working in your current season, even through challenges?

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the dreams and callings You place in our hearts. Help us to trust in Your perfect timing and to boldly step into obedience when You call us to act. Remind us that what You have planted in us is not just for our benefit but for others who are waiting for Your answer through us. Turn our ordinary days into miracles and let us walk fully in the life You have designed for us. Amen.

Challenge:
Take time this week to revisit your vision for this year. Reflect on how God has moved in your life and where He may be asking you to step out in obedience. If you feel called to a bold next step, write down one action you can take to move closer to that calling. Whether it’s investing in your growth, preparing for a new role, or helping someone else step forward, commit to trusting Him with the outcome.
