Reflection:
Use these scriptures to guide your heart as you purge the old and embrace the new in 2025:
2 Corinthians 5:17 – "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!"
Reflect: What parts of your old self do you need to leave behind as you step into 2025?
Isaiah 43:18-19 –
"Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!"
Reflect: How can you open your heart to the new things God wants to do in your life?
Hebrews 12:1 – "Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us."
Reflect: What weights or distractions do you need to release to run freely in 2025?
James 1:5 – "If any of
you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you."
Reflect: Where do you need clarity from God as you prepare for the new year?
Prayer:
Lord, as I prepare for a New Year, I ask for Your guidance and clarity. Help me to release the old ways of thinking and living that no longer serve Your purpose in my life. Purge anything that divides my heart and clouds my thoughts. Teach me to live
boldly and unified, speaking with confidence as I align my desires with Your will. Thank You for the newness You bring and the plans You have for me in 2025. Amen.
Challenge:
This week, take time to reflect on areas of your life where you feel divided or stuck. Write down what you need to purge—habits, fears, or old ways of thinking—and pray over each one, asking God for the strength to release it. Then, write down one bold request for 2025, aligning it
with God’s will for your life. Commit to praying over this request daily as you prepare to step confidently into the new year.
