Step Into Your Flame in 2025
Scripture:
"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful
stewards of God’s grace in its various forms."
~1 Peter 4:10
Devotional:
Women of Worth, this is it—the day before New Year’s Eve! Let’s have a prophetic talk about stepping boldly into 2025. God has given
each of us unique gifts and talents, but it’s up to us to fan those gifts into action and live fully in the purpose He has designed for us. This year, I’m inviting you to step into your flame—that place where your God-given gifts and talents burn brightest and bring you the greatest joy and fulfillment.
It surprises me how often I hear people say, “I don’t know my purpose” or “I don’t know my passion.” The key is to uncover your flame by becoming aware
of the things that bring you to life, energize your soul, and align with God’s will. When you identify this flame and step into it daily, you’ll experience a life filled with impact, joy, and renewal.
I’m fanatical about helping people uncover their flame because I’ve seen the transformative power of living in that space. I’ve also observed the pain of people close to me who, despite having profound gifts, are unaware of their flame or too busy to nurture it. Their flame,
which could be a bonfire, is instead a dim flicker because they haven’t paused to reflect, realign, and reignite it.
For me, stepping into my flame means living a life of service—helping others let go of the past, live fully in the present, and step confidently into the life God has prepared for them. It’s about using my creative gifts, like writing this devotional, to inspire and uplift, empowering others with ideas, guiding them to grow and scale their potential, and
interceding for them in prayer because I trust in the extraordinary things God can do. When I operate within my flame, I am filled with the joy of the Lord, fully aligned with the purpose He designed me to fulfill.
But this wasn’t always the case. When I tried to operate outside my flame—doing tasks I wasn’t designed for—I became my own wall, my own ceiling, and my own friction. I was my own extinguisher. When I finally realized this, I let go of what wasn’t meant for me and
began to thrive.
So, what about you? What’s your flame, and what’s your extinguisher? It’s time to let go of the things that put out your fire and step fully into what God has called you to do. When we delegate our extinguishers to others whose flame thrives in those areas, we allow them to operate in their gifts and glorify God through their talents.
