Last month, I attended a women’s conference filled with powerful moments of fellowship, growth—and yes, dancing! During the evening event, the music began, and soon enough, the line dancing kicked off. Now truth be told, I’m not a dancer. But as usual, I jumped in line like I knew what I was doing.
In order to keep up, I had to watch the person in front of me or to the side of me. More often than not,
someone would guide me, gently helping me find the rhythm. As I reflected on that moment, I realized how beautifully it mirrors our walk with God. He desires for us to be in alignment with Him. But here's the truth: if we don’t take the first step, we’re telling God we don’t have faith.
That evening, my husband was at the table cheering me on. “Go ahead, try it—you can do it!” he urged. Every time I got a move right, he gave me a thumbs up. That encouragement meant so much.
And it reminded me—not only is God waiting for you to step out in faith, but He’s already assigned someone to support you on the journey. You’re not walking alone. When I left that dance floor, I wasn’t an expert—but I had made progress. And that’s what faith is about: progress, not perfection. Go ahead...take the step!
