This week, I am in Orlando at the Annual John Maxwell Leadership Conference—one of my favorite times to pause, learn, and grow. I always attend with great expectations and anticipation, but not for myself alone. Every principle I glean is meant to be poured back into the lives of others.
During one of the sessions, John Maxwell made a statement that was simple, yet profound: “People will describe
your life in one sentence… PICK IT NOW.” That truth stopped me in my tracks. It reminded me that our legacy isn’t built overnight—it is written daily by the way we love, serve, and lead.
Leaving a legacy that matters is one of the most powerful ways we can say “thank you” to God for His goodness, and to others for the gift of their presence in our lives. What will your one sentence say?
