Embracing New Beginnings: The Power of a Fresh Start
Have you ever felt the urge to start over, but something inside you whispered, “It’s too late”? Maybe it’s a new goal, a relationship, or even a deeper walk with God that’s been tugging at your heart. As spring unfolds and the world seems to wake up again, I’m
reminded that God is always inviting us into new beginnings—no matter what season we’re in.
Scripture:
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” — Isaiah 43:18–19
Devotional:
Spring always reminds me of God’s grace for fresh starts. The flowers bloom, the air shifts, and suddenly, what felt dormant comes alive again.
Sometimes, we hold on to old disappointments or routines simply because they’re familiar. But God’s Word is clear—He specializes in new things. That means you don’t have to be defined by what didn’t work out or mistakes you made.
I remember a season when I was clinging to a plan that simply wasn’t working. I was afraid to let go because I thought it meant failure. But as soon as I surrendered it to God, He opened doors I never expected and gave me a fresh vision. It wasn’t
easy, but it was worth it.
Maybe you’re sensing God nudging you toward a new beginning. It could be a new career move, a habit you want to break, or a relationship to restore. You might feel unqualified or uncertain. But the same God who raised Jesus from the dead is breathing new life into your story.
Let this season be a reminder: You have permission to begin again. Let go of what’s behind and lean into what God is bringing
forth.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the gift of new beginnings. Help me release the past and receive the new thing You’re doing in my life. Give me courage to step forward in faith, trusting that Your plans for me are good. Amen.
Your Turn: Reflect & Respond
