As we enter Thanksgiving week, we are given a sacred invitation—to pause. To breathe. And to reflect on what we are truly grateful for. This season naturally turns our hearts back over the year… how it began, where we stand now, and what still needs our attention as we prepare to finish strong.
We think about relationships that have brought us joy, the ones that still need nurturing, and even the ones that
slipped away. We think about loved ones who once sat at our table but no longer do. And we think about the blessings that strengthened us, the battles that shaped us, and the challenges that stretched us. I have walked through every one of those seasons this year—and perhaps you have too.
But here is the truth God continues to whisper to my heart:
Gratitude + Progress is the mindset shift that helps us overcome.
Gratitude anchors
us in what God has done.
Progress positions us for what God will do.
When those two work together, something powerful happens—you stop focusing on what’s missing and start focusing on what’s possible. Gratitude stabilizes your heart. Progress strengthens your hope to keep moving forward. Together, they shift your perspective from overwhelmed to overcomer.
When gratitude and progress work together, you step into the
identity of an overcomer—not because life is perfect, but because God is perfect in every circumstance. Being an overcomer isn’t about avoiding struggle; it’s about choosing faith in the midst of it. Overcomers see possibility where others see pressure, hope where others see hardship, and purpose where others see pain. When gratitude fills your heart and progress guides your steps, you don’t walk weighed down—you walk lifted. You walk like a woman who knows God is with
her, strengthening her, positioning her, and preparing her for victory.
