Last week, my church hosted our 2nd annual Seek Week—seven days of stepping away from screens, social media, and yes Amazon, so we could focus on seeking God. Research shows that the average person spends nearly 6 hours a day in front of screens, and at the same time, we’re facing rising rates of anxiety, depression, sleeplessness, strained relationships, and health issues. It’s
no wonder so many of us are restless and distracted.
But here’s what was powerful: the Center for Bible Engagement found that reading the Bible 4 or more times a week reduces issues like bitterness, anxiety, unhealthy habits, and even destructive thought patterns. Why? Because the Word of God never changes. His promises are steady, trustworthy, and true.
This is why I believe in Accentuating Life from a Biblical Perspective. When you place God’s Word at the center of your daily walk, you don’t just “get through life”, you highlight and elevate the life God designed for you. Seek Week reminded me that breakthroughs don’t always come from a big event. They come when we consistently align with His Word and let it shape our decisions, relationships, and perspective.
That’s why you don’t have to wait for a special week or time to experience renewal. You can choose to ACT everyday:
❧Align with God’s Word daily
❧Cut out distractions that compete for your peace
❧Trust God’s promises above your
feelings
This intentional rhythm is what helps you accentuate life, bringing clarity where there’s confusion, peace where there’s anxiety, and strength where there’s weakness.
