As we enter Week 11, the book of Deuteronomy begins with Moses reflecting on the journey of the Israelites. These chapters are filled with remembrance, instruction, and preparation as the people stand on the edge of the Promised Land.
Moses recounts their history—the victories, the failures, the moments of fear, and the faithfulness of God through it all. His words remind the people that remembering where
God has brought them from is essential to understanding where He is taking them.
Deuteronomy 1–4 also emphasizes obedience and the importance of keeping God’s commands. Moses encourages the people not to forget what the Lord has done for them and to teach these truths to the next generation. Their future success in the land would depend on their willingness to remain faithful to God.
One of the most powerful themes in these chapters is remembrance. God knew
that if His people forgot His works, they would drift away from His ways.
Women of Worth, remembering is powerful.
When we remember God’s faithfulness in past seasons, it strengthens our trust for what lies ahead. When we recall the prayers He has answered, the doors He has opened, and the ways He has carried us, our faith grows deeper.
Sometimes our greatest encouragement for the future comes from remembering what God
has already done.
Just as the Israelites stood at the edge of the Promised Land, we too often stand at the edge of new seasons, new assignments, and new opportunities. In those moments, God calls us to move forward with trust and obedience.

Prayer
Father God,
Thank You for Your faithfulness throughout every season of our lives. Help us never forget the ways You have guided, protected, and provided for us. As we move forward into new seasons, give us hearts that trust You and lives that reflect obedience to Your Word. Strengthen our faith as we remember Your goodness.
