This week's reading reminds us that success in God's eyes is not determined by talent, position, or possessions. It is determined by wisdom.
As we read through Proverbs 18–21, we encounter practical wisdom for everyday life. These chapters speak about our words, our relationships, our attitudes, our decisions, and our character. They remind us
that the small choices we make daily often determine the direction of our lives.
At the same time, 2 Chronicles 14–19 gives us a front-row seat to the life of King Asa and King Jehoshaphat. Both men experienced God's blessing, protection, and favor when they sought Him. Yet we also see the consequences that followed when they relied on human wisdom instead of God's guidance.
One of the lessons that stands out is this:
Wisdom is not knowing more. Wisdom
is seeking God more.
As a coach, I often meet people who know exactly what they should do but struggle to do it. The issue is rarely information. The issue is application.
Proverbs teaches us that wisdom is not measured by what we know; it is measured by how we live.
Wisdom influences:
How we speak
How we respond
How we handle
conflict
How we manage resources
How we treat others
How we seek God
Women of Worth, one wise decision can change the trajectory of your life.
One conversation.
One act of obedience.
One moment of trusting God instead of fear.
The world often celebrates intelligence, but Scripture celebrates wisdom.
And true
wisdom begins with God.
Prayer
Father God,
Thank you for being the source of all wisdom. In a world filled with opinions, help us seek Your truth above all else. Give us wisdom in our decisions, our relationships, our words, and our actions.
Teach us not only to know Your Word but to live it. Help us walk in discernment, humility, and obedience as we follow You each day.
In
Jesus' name,
Amen.
