When we consider the current state of affairs all around us—social unrest, economic uncertainty, and shifting values; it almost causes you to hold your breath in disbelief. Yet, history has proven one undeniable truth: opportunity is always mixed with challenges. Every generation has faced the winds of challenge, but those same winds carry seeds of growth and
transformation.
As the scripture says, Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. Challenges are a part of life. But I’ve learned not to wish for an easier path; I pray to be better. Don’t pray for fewer problems, pray for more skills to work through the problems. Don’t run from challenges, pray for more wisdom to
face them. These are the moments God is waiting to grow us into remarkable faith-builders so that others can see the light of Christ shining through us. God deserves all the glory!
When I finally learned that, my life began to change, not because circumstances got easier, but because my philosophy of life changed. The next season of my life looked
drastically different from the one before it. Why? Because I stopped waiting for the world to change and let God change me.
For things to change in your life, you must change. When we change, then God sets in motion more capacity to do more, new ideas and new revelations. Don’t wait for the economy, the job, or the relationship to turn around; set your sail now and chart a new course. Let your faith
guide you through every storm, knowing that God’s direction is always sure.
