One of the greatest lessons we learn on this faith journey is that the esteem of the world is not the goal—living for the glory of God is.
We live in a culture that celebrates recognition, applause, and being seen. But in the Kingdom, true honor doesn’t begin with visibility… it begins with humility. It begins with a heart that says:
“Father, I want my life to glorify
You—whether anyone notices or not.”
Recently, I received a community award. While I was grateful, the Lord made something very clear to my heart:
The world’s honor is never the reward—
God’s glory is.
The honor is simply a confirmation.
It reminded me that when we choose to live for God’s glory; when we serve, love, lead, and give without seeking validation, God has a way of lifting us in due time. Not for our fame, but
for His.
And here’s the truth the Holy Spirit pressed into my heart:
When you stop striving for esteem,
you make room for God to release honor.
Not because we chase it,
not because we need it,
but because He promised that He would exalt the humble.
This is why we don’t need to fight for recognition.
We don’t need to compare.
We don’t need to promote ourselves.
Glory always comes before
honor.
When we glorify Him with our life, our character, our service, and our obedience...
He handles the rest.
