In my work as both a counselor and a coach, I often see people confuse the two. Counseling helps you heal your past. Coaching helps you move forward into your future with clarity, confidence, and courage.
I love coaching because it signals that a person is saying with their life,
“I’m ready for something better.”
But here’s what usually happens next:
They start
talking about their past.
They relive what hurt, what failed, what they lost.
And the very words they speak pull them backward instead of pushing them forward.
That’s when I lovingly interrupt and say:
“Watch your words.”
Because here is the truth that changed the entire trajectory of my life:
You will have what you say.
Jesus said it Himself.
Not your circumstances.
Not the devil.
Not your
feelings.
YOUR WORDS shape your world.
When you keep speaking what was, you keep reliving what was.
When you speak what the enemy says, you empower what the enemy is doing.
Stop telling God what the devil said.
Your mouth is either agreeing with Heaven…
or giving oxygen to hell.
Imagine this for a moment:
What if God tapped you on the shoulder and said,
“Daughter, you will
have whatever you say.”
Would you still say the things you’re saying?
God’s Word is filled with promises—hope, victory, peace, purpose, abundance, healing, and breakthrough.
Yet too often, we keep speaking what we have instead of what God said.
Mountains don’t move because we describe them.
Mountains move because we speak to them.
Today, God is reminding you:
Your words are not casual.
Your words are not
empty.
Your words are not powerless.
Your words are spiritual assignments.
And Heaven moves when you speak in agreement with God.
