Willingness Over Waiting

Scripture:  2 Corinthians 6:2 (NIV)
“Now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.”
 

Devotional:

We are just 9 days away from a New Year, but I want to challenge a familiar mindset: “I’ll start on January 1st.”

Why wait?

If you are reading this devotional today, today is your starting point. Growth doesn’t begin when the calendar changes, it begins when your heart decides.

If you want to grow in faith, pray today.

If you want better health, choose one healthy step today.

If you want stronger relationships, love intentionally today.

If you want to lead better, serve with integrity today.

If you want excellence at work, show up with purpose today.

If you want financial wisdom, make one wise decision today.

If you want clarity for your future, seek God today.

Whatever God has placed on your heart—don’t postpone obedience.

Starting today removes pressure.
It replaces overwhelm with momentum.
And when January 1st arrives, you won’t be standing at the starting line—you’ll already be moving forward.

God is not waiting on a New Year.
He’s waiting on your willingness.

WOW Declaration

(Read out loud)

Today, I choose Willingness Over Waiting.
I will not delay what God has already placed on my heart.
I release hesitation, fear, and perfectionism.
I take obedient steps—small or big—with faith and confidence.
I start where I am, with what I have, trusting God to guide the rest.
I am not behind; I am positioned.
This is my WOW moment—because I see what God is doing, and I respond.
Amen.

Remember: progress begins with one step.

• What is God inviting me to believe about my life in 2026 that requires faith, not comfort?
• How could my growth next year bless others and advance Kingdom work, not just benefit me?
• What bold step is God asking me to take that moves me from small thinking to surrendered vision?

Prayer:
Father, thank You for reminding me that obedience doesn’t need a perfect moment, only a willing heart. Help me start today with faith and confidence. Strengthen my resolve, guide my steps, and meet me as I move forward. I trust You with what I begin today and what You will complete in me in 2026. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thank God in advance for what He will do in your life, your faith, your relationships, and your purpose. Write from a place of trust and expectancy, knowing that God is already at work—even now.
