As Genesis comes to a close, we see Joseph standing in a place he never could have imagined. What began with betrayal, loss, and years of waiting ends with clarity. Joseph realizes that God was present in every chapter, using even painful moments to preserve lives and fulfill purpose.
Then Exodus opens with a shift. The same people who were once protected now find themselves oppressed. God hears their
cries and responds by calling Moses; not just to lead, but to serve. Through Moses, God reveals that deliverance is never just about freedom from something; it’s about freedom for something.
As I reflect on these passages, I’m reminded how God has designed us all for his perfect work. I am at my best when I am help others reach their potential through the Word of God. That realization brings clarity because serving others is Kingdom work. Joseph’s life wasn’t elevated for his
own sake. Moses wasn’t called for personal gain. Their obedience impacted generations.
These Scriptures remind us that significance isn’t found in status or comfort—it’s found in service. God often positions us where our growth meets the needs of others. What once felt like struggle becomes stewardship.

Where might God be inviting you to see your experiences as preparation to serve
others?
