This week’s reading brings together two very different experiences—human struggle in Judges and deep, unwavering trust in the Psalms.
In Judges 11–21, we see a cycle of brokenness, poor decisions, and spiritual drift. Leadership is inconsistent, choices are often made without seeking God, and the consequences are heavy. It is a reminder of what life can look like when people do what is right in their own
eyes.
Yet in Psalms 30–33, we are brought back to the heart of God where praise, trust, and gratitude anchor us even in difficult seasons.
These Psalms remind us:
Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.
God is our refuge, our hope, and our help.
Praise is not based on our circumstances—it is rooted in who God is.
Women of Worth, this week teaches us something powerful:
Even when
life around us feels unstable, we can remain steady through praise.
Life may not always reflect order, but our hearts can remain anchored.
Praise shifts perspective.
Praise restores focus.
Praise reminds us that God is still in control.
While Judges shows us what happens when people drift away, Psalms calls us back—to trust, to worship, and to rest in God’s
faithfulness.
Prayer
Father God,
Thank You for being our refuge and our strength. Even when life feels uncertain, You remain constant. Teach us to praise You in every season and not just when things are going well, but even in the process.
Help us trust You more deeply, anchor our hearts in Your truth, and walk in confidence knowing that joy is coming. Restore anything in us that feels weary and remind us that You are
always working on our behalf.
In Jesus name,
Amen.
